Deep Lake - Weird
little town

So the other day I was looking into weird things that have happened around the country, and I found this place called Degoya County. At first glance it seems like a pretty normal (honestly boring) town in the south. I remember something made me think twice before moving on, it was how nostalgic the few pictures of the place were. That however, was not enough to hook my attention.

What was enough, was an email I recieved a few months later from some user named 'LongEyes1' who found my email on my blog (go check it out if you haven't already!!!). In his message, he told me about something called TV Odyssey, an old broadcasting company based in the county. Apparently it would be perfect for my blog, but after looking into it, I didn't want to attach it to my main so I've put it here. Anyway, I looked into this 'TV Odyssey' company, and found, well, nothing. Weird right?
so at first I assumed that LongEyes1 was just making something up so his hometown would be featured on my blog. Regardless, an email from a stranger with a username as weird as that, HOW COULD I RESIST? So I looked into the town, and found out that the place is actually super weird, and dark.

So a little warning before this first thing I found, it's pretty serious, and I know we get into some pretty heavy stuff on my blog, but this one really messed with me. So the first thing I found was a police report from only last year. So in 1997 like nineteen students at La Fresca Senior Highschool walked to the roof of their school, recited the pledge of allegience, and then walked off in unison to their deaths. The summary from the police was pretty bare bones, with news outlets reporting it as a mental health crisis (lol what?). But that's only the second weirdest thing to happen to that school, as like ten years earlier, a prom was interrupted by a fire. Over a hundred students lost their lives in the fire. So obviously I'm like, something's going on at this school. I dig deep into the fire, and find forensics reports of the incidents. NO WHERE talks about this, but Dr Friedlan of the Degoya County's professional opinion was that a number of the students hadn't died by their burns, but instead had multiple lacerations in their bodies, seemingly from an animal. (HUH).
